Promises, Promises!

Friday, July 30th, 2010

Are you tired of the promises you see from all the sales letters, capture pages, emails, and ads?

“$10K in 29 Days!”

“I made $109,231.59 in 30 Days!”

“You can make $10K in 10 Days with our program!”

And on and on, ad nauseam.

They grab your attention, and sure, you would LOVE to make that kind of money.  You may have even been roped into some of these headlines and parted with your money.  But did it really get you that kind of money?

If it did, you wouldn’t be here right now, probably.

So how do you deal with this kind of sensationalism?  Do you go along with it and hope the money starts rolling in?  Do you write it off as “typical network marketers,” or “scammers?”

In my opinion, the best thing to do is try to look beyond the sensationalism and see if what they have to offer is any good.  Research THEM.

And if you are the one thinking about using these kinds of headlines, you might want to re-think your strategy.  Put yourself in the shoes of the ones you are trying to reach.  When you read these headlines, how does it make you feel?  If you buy the product and it doesn’t deliver, THEN how does it make you feel?

I, personally, am most impressed with programs and products that do not claim any amount of money that you can make in any specific time period.  If they say it all depends on you, they are right on.  Every person is different; the way people go about working their business is different; their personality and what they bring to their business is different; the money they have to bring into the business is different; the time they have to spend and the quality of time they spend is different.

People who promise you the moon can’t deliver.  And if you see that they claim to make so much money, that doesn’t mean you will make what they make.  You may – it IS possible – but then again, you may not.  And if you don’t, then you will feel let down, and like they ripped you off.  So don’t do that to other people.  And who knows, they may not even make that kind of money themselves – it may be pure sensationalism to try to sell you their program or product!

The best way to make money in network marketing is good, old-fashioned hard work.  Find products that you think will help you succeed, then find products that other people want, and do your best to sell the products in an honest way.

Help! My Affiliate Program Is a Scam!

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

I am going to stop a moment and talk about affiliate program scams.  This is not a fun topic, but I feel it needs to be addressed.

It has come to my attention that there are affiliate programs out there on the internet that really are a scam, and there are good programs that are accused of being a scam.

And the only way to find out for sure about any programs you are interested in is good, old-fashioned research.  I know for some of you, research is a bad word – too much like school.  But research is very important so that you don’t end up with egg on your face, so to speak.

You need to go to one of the search engines and type in the name of the product you want to sell, or the name of the person promoting the product or program.  Then after it, type the word “scam” and see what comes up.

Sometimes you have to dig a little to find a real review or set of reviews, because the company will cleverly disguise themselves to look like they are legitimate reviews, but will be just another way to try to get business.

Then you will have to read the reviews carefully.  Some will be written by jealous people who don’t make the kind of money the product claims the person who came out with it makes.  Some will be written by those who think all network marketing and mlm are scams.  Others will be written by those who have had a bad experience with the company (which can happen in any company).  And some will be legitimate complaints.

I was doing research myself today, and discovered each of these examples above.  Some products really were scams, and you could tell that from the reviews.  But I was pleased to see that some products had complaints that were made by the other kinds of reviewers, and the products were, in fact, legitimate.  (You will have to be discerning while reading, and not get sucked up in their emotions.)

It is true that some companies will have a lot of hype to their advertising.  You will need to understand that, yes, maybe THEY made the kind of money they are quoting.  But that doesn’t mean YOU will.  Be happy about making a much smaller amount, but still be making a profit.  And remember, they are the gurus who write the programs or produce the products, and they will make a much bigger profit than the average affiliate.  Also, they have been in the business longer.  And they got there first – they got in when there weren’t so many little guys trying to get in on the market.

So research, research, research!  And hopefully you will find some winners that will give you the income you want and need!

Here Is One Way to Make a Lot of Money Fast

Monday, July 26th, 2010

If you click here, you can see a shocking video!

The latest Michael Jones video has set the marketing world on fire, and set tongues wagging.  Which is to be expected, since every time a real marketer reveals some hardcore secrets instead of rehashed junk, a lot of people don’t like it.

If you’ve seen the video, you know he’s telling the truth.  You’ve seen how much this stuff is making him, and you’ve seen how long it takes him to set it up.

The question is, wouldn’t you like to be able to do what he’s showing?  Earn six figures in 29 days, from secret techniques that take just 2 hours to set up?  Of course you would, and here’s your chance to do it.

Mike has finally released his new program.  It’s a no-holds-barred look at exactly what he did to set up those little 2-hour “mini” businesses.  Nothing’s left out.  There’s no clever editing, you won’t see him in front of some expensive green screen, nothing like that.  It’s just pure, hardcore moneymaking information.

And it’s open, for you, right now.

Think about this for a second – you got into this business because you want more money and more free time, right?  Well, this is aimed squarely at you.  It’s a system developed to give maximum returns in minimum time.

And it’s waiting for you right now.  Click here now to watch this powerful video.

I Want to Hear From YOU!

Monday, July 26th, 2010

It has come to my attention that the comment function on this blog is not clearly understood.  I hope this is the only reason no one is leaving comments.  So maybe I can clarify how the comment function works.

At the bottom of each post, in the section that tells the specifics of the post, on the right-hand side, is a phrase that either says, “No Comments” or “X Comments,” “X” being how many have been left for that post.

This is a clickable phrase that will then open up a comment box, and also allow you to read any comments posted so far, if there have been any.

Please feel free to post comments on any blog post that you like or dislike.  Tell me what you would like to see on this blog in the future.  Tell me what you think I could do to improve my blog, if you have any good ideas.

But if you want to say things that are not appropriate to this blog, or are very derogatory, I will not allow them to be posted, or I will delete them.  I do not want political discussions (unless they are appropriate to the post), spam comments, advertisements for other products or websites (unless appropriate), defamation, or arguments.  Also, no foul language will be allowed.

I would like to see good, clean, constructive comments on this blog, and if you have anything to say, I would love to hear from you!

Isn’t Mass Emailing the Same As Spamming?

Friday, July 23rd, 2010

Mass emailing is NOT the same thing as spamming, if it is done following certain guidelines.  Mass emailing done right is sending emails to many different people who have agreed to get emails of this nature.

Okay, you may ask, why would anyone in their right mind want to get emails from a mass mailing?  Well, I will get to that in a minute.

First, let me say that there are two different kinds of marketing that I know of right now that are effective ways to send out mass emailings.

Two Ways to Mass Email

  1. This company lets you send out mass emails to 3000 people every three days (for a higher fee, you can do more emails more often), and in exchange, you agree to receive emails from the other people in the program.
  2. Solo Ads.

Since the first is pretty self-explanatory, I will move on to solo ads.

If you aren’t familiar with solo ads, then in a nutshell, solo ads are emails that you send out to someone else’s list.  You find an ezine that accepts solo ads, and you send them the email.  Then they send it out to their subscriber list, and thousands of people get your email.  If you choose your ezine wisely to match the product or service you are selling, you are much more likely to get a great response.

If you want to make a lot of money in a short period of time, this company has many products to sell.  If you want to know the secret to knowing which are the best sellers, sign up on the right, then email me, and I will be glad to share some secrets with you about that personally.

Then sign up with this company to find the best ezines to send your solo ads to.

Then choose your product, ezine, and email, sit back, and watch the money coming in!

Reaching Your Target Audience Through Emails

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

One form of marketing your online business is through emails.  You can reach a lot of people at once when you send out a lot of emails that have good content in them.

What If I Don’t Have a List?

Not having a list of your own is not a problem when it comes to sending out mass emails.  In fact, this is a great way to BUILD your own list!  You will use other people’s lists to send out your emails!

I know some of you are familiar with at least one of these ways to send out mass emails, because that is how you got here in the first place.  But for those of you who are not familiar with what I am about to share, keep reading!

There is a company that you subscribe to that lets you send out 3000 emails every three days!  In exchange, you agree to receive emails from the other people in their program.  These folks are network marketers, just like you (or just like you want to be), so they are a good target market.  They are more likely to buy what you have to sell.  This list will bring some traffic to your site, and you will get some people who are interested in what you have to offer, especially if what you have to offer is FREE!

So signing up with this company is a good place to start, once you have a website to send them to.  And when you sign up with them, you will only pay a yearly fee, so you don’t even have to think about shelling out money every month.  Just send your emails every three days, and you don’t have to do anything else.

To find out more about this company and how to use their service, just sign up on the right to start getting my emails with your training on how to be more successful in your network marketing business!

And stay tuned tomorrow for another way to send out mass emails effectively!

I’m Not a Cow! Why Do I Need to Brand Myself?

Monday, July 19th, 2010

To be successful in your online business, you need to brand yourself.  What does it mean to brand yourself?

Branding Yourself

Branding yourself means to have your name and your face out there on the internet, along with good content that others want and need, so that they will get to know YOU… so that they will get to trust YOU.  The more people know and trust you, the more likely they are to want what you have to offer.

How Do I Brand Myself?

The best way to brand yourself is by having a website in your name, with your picture.  A blog is a great way for people to get to know you, because you are writing information in your own words, with your own style.  If people see your picture on your blog, they will start to feel that they know you a little bit.

If you can add video to your blog, or on YouTube or other video-sharing sites, people will get to know you even more.  This can be a great way to continue the self-branding.

But What If I Don’t Want People to Know Who I Am?

Maybe you are one of those people who prize your anonymity on the internet.  You don’t want people knowing your real name, or what you look like, or where you live, or any of that personal, private information.  You have heard about kooks who prey on people who are on the internet with their personal information.  You don’t want to be bothered by people!

If you care more for your anonymity than for making money, than keep it that way and don’t follow any of my advice here.  But the chances of anyone finding you and messing with you are not really all that great.  You don’t have to tell EXACTLY where you live.  And there are so many people’s names and faces out there on the internet, that the chances of them going after YOU is very slim.

Standing Out

To be successful, you have to stand out from the crowd… you have to be different.  And branding yourself if a way to stand out and be different.  There is only one of YOU.

How badly do you need or want to make more money?  How badly do you want to get out of debt, or get that new car, or send your kids to college?  Is the desire greater than your fear of loss of privacy?  Do you want to get out of the rat race?  Or would you rather stay private and poor?  You decide.

If you decide to take my advice, then sign up today to learn more about branding yourself!

Everyone is Blogging – Why Should I?

Friday, July 16th, 2010

It is incredible how many people are blogging these days!  Everywhere you look on the internet you can find blogs on just about everything under the sun!

So if everyone and their grandmother are blogging, why does the internet need one more blogger?

Five Reasons for Blogging

  1. Blogging can help you focus your mind on just what angle you want your network marketing business to have.
  2. Having a blog can help you brand yourself.
  3. Having a blog can bring traffic to YOU.
  4. Having a blog can be a great part of your sales funnel – a great way to draw people through to your capture page.
  5. A blog is a great place to put your ads for your affiliate programs.

But What Do I Talk About?

You can talk about anything you want, but try to focus on your specific angle of your network marketing business.  You want to bring people to your blog who will want to buy what you have to sell.  But you want to help them to get to know and trust you first.  If they get to know you and what you have to say, they will begin to trust you, and will be more interested in what you want them to buy from you.

If this doesn’t help you figure out what to talk about, find some sites that have lots of blogs in your area of business, and read them.  Get some ideas from other people.  There is even a way you can use their blogs in your blog!  They will be glad you did, if you do it right!

How Do I Get Started?

There are several ways you could get started.  You could sign up on the right to get started with my training.  You could go to this website to get really good training on blogging, or you could click on the long ad on the right for a website that gives really good training.

And who knows?  You just may be the next big blogger on the internet, right up there with Ty Tribble!

Why Should I Get Involved With Affiliate Programs?

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

A good source of residual income is being plugged in to a good number of affiliate programs.  In case you don’t know what residual income is, it is income that keeps coming in to you month after month without you having to do anything – in other words, on auto-pilot.  Once you have your marketing in place and advertise the affiliate programs in one way or another, you will get commissions from anyone who clicks on the link and then purchases the program or programs.

What are Affiliate Programs?

Affiliate programs are programs that you sign up for (many are free to sign up), then you have access to the programs’  back offices to get banner ads or other types of ads to place.  When you sign up, you are given a special code.  When you place an ad and someone clicks on it, it takes them to the program’s company, and if they purchase anything, the code tells the company to send the commission check to you.

This way, you can get paid for your advertising without having to think up a good ad, set up a separate web page or website for the selling of their products, or really do much work at all.  If you can place the ads in the right places, where they will get a lot of traffic, then you will be able to get some good commissions from the ads.

Kinds of Affiliate Programs

There are three kinds of affiliate programs that are really good to join:

  1. Those that lots of people need and want,
  2. Those that have residual income – continual monthly or yearly fees, and
  3. Those that have two-tier pay-outs.

You want to have a variety of programs to cover all of these types.

If you think you can make enough money just by relying on your primary opportunity, you will be missing out on so much more!  Don’t be left out!  Don’t sell yourself short!  Months or years from now, you could be wishing you had done more to bring in multiple streams of income, instead of settling for just one source!

If you are interested in learning more about how to get involved with affiliate programs, sign up on the right today, so that you can start getting my free training emails with links to more free in-depth training!  Sign up now!

Do You Provide Training?

Monday, July 12th, 2010

Training is of utmost importance to having a successful network marketing business.  Without training, you will get started, be all gung-ho about your business, try a few things that you think are supposed to be done, wait for the money to start flowing, and then get discouraged when it doesn’t.

So What Training Do You Provide?

Glad you asked!  For starters, there is this blog.  I am giving you some beginning training for free right here.  Then when you sign up, I will send you more free training in emails.  The emails will have links to even more training.

When you have reached a level where you feel you need even more training, you can sign up in my business, which gives you lots more training.  But while you are training, you can start earning money.  You don’t have to know everything before you can make money.  You can jump in wherever you are comfortable, and get started.

If you are ready for more in-depth training than I am providing, you can go right to one of the companies in my ads on the right, and get started on some really good training by some very knowledgeable people who are very successful in the network marketing business.

Do I Have to Get All This Training?  It Sounds Like a Lot!

No, you can try to work your business on your own, and maybe you have what it takes to be successful without any of this training.  If so, that’s okay, too!  But you may want to check out the tools some of these companies have so that you can be even more successful.  But that is entirely up to you.  I am just providing tools for those who need them.  And like I said, even if you start the training and then feel confident, you don’t have to continue with any training you don’t need.  And you can skip anything you already have the skills in.

And if you feel that this sounds like “training overload,” do as much or as little as you like.  If the free training is enough for you, then feel free to move on when we are done.  But if you would like to get started with more training, then fill in the form on the right, and let’s get started!
